Ordering

To insure customer satisfaction, Bob Hills Photographics works with each customer on image selection, size, print media and presentation to meet their needs. We offer images in a large variety of shapes and sizes. We also have various media options including archival photo-quality papers and canvas. Prices are relative to image size, media type, and the presentation style desired. Since there are a variety of options to consider, we ask that you Contact Us for consultation on your image order.

To provide an idea of the various printing and media options that Bob Hills Photographics offers, we have summarized some of the more popular options below:

Archival Ink & Paper – This approach supports the more traditional style of presenting photographs -- print the image on paper then mount, matte and frame. Bob Hills Photographics prints images with archival ink on archival photo-quality paper using a high-resolution photo printer.

PhotoPlaq Mounting – For a more unique presentation style, the Photoplaq approach may be of interest. The Photoplaq process laminates the archival printed paper image to strudy MDF board and seals the piece, which makes it safe to handle and clean with water or glass cleaner. This approach elimates the need to protect your picture behind glass that can give a glare under light and even shatter under pressure. Photoplaqs can be framed but we recommend the floating style where a spacer is glued to the back of the image board so when hung the image appears to float off of the wall.

Canvas Gallery Wrap – Gallery Wraps provide a richer, more painting-like presentation. The image is printed on canvas, sprayed with UV coating and meticulously stretched on a wood frame – similar to oil paintings. The term ‘gallery wrap’ refers to seeing the image on the sides of the 1" to 1 1/2" frame as well as the front. Images printed on canvas typically have more depth and richness than images printed on paper.

Gallery Wrap with Floating Frames – Depending on your taste, Floating Frames can add more polish and substance to a Gallery Wrap. Floating frames leave a ½” space between the canvas and the edge of the frame to preserve the three dimensional look of the canvas while adding the elegance of a custom frame. Floating frames can enhance any gallery wrap but are highly recommended on all larger gallery wrap images.
