Custom Pet Portraits

If you have a pet, we expect they are a major part of your life. We all love our pets and they return the love. We all find comfort in their dedication and watch their antics that make us smile and laugh. We all love pictures that remind us of our beloved companions, present and past.

Having utilized digital artistry techniques to create unique images of our dog, several friends were interested in having similar portraits of their pets. As more folks saw the images, yet more requests emerged. Thus, we are now offering Custom Pet Portraits as a service to all our customers.

The requests for pet portraits range from near realistic images to brightly-colored, zany images. The feedback we get is that simple pet snapshots, while meaningful to the owner, are not something that visitors will see and potentially are not something you would keep hanging on your walls for the long term. Our customers believe that artistic custom images have more longevity and become quite the conversation piece with friends and family. People have been commissioning paintings and photographs of their pets for centuries - but this can be costly. The digital artistry approach is much more economical while still delivering a piece of custom family art. Take a look at some before-and-after examples:

Our process to custom pet portraits is very straightforward. It all begins with your memorable pet photo. From here, the process is as follows:
..1) Provide us with a digital image of the pet with the face clear and in sharp focus. "Head shots" are best but we can crop the head from most good images
..2) Provide some idea of what you are interested in -- more realistic with natural colors, something more colorful and fun, or something in between
..3) We will create 2 or 3 different rough proofs that we share with you to get your feedback
..4) Together, we all agree on an approach for the pet image and the background and we create one more proof before committing to the final print
..5) Once you approve the final proof, we print and deliver the final artwork to you.
The process typically takes 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Pretty simple!
